Across Air Force, Army, Joint Forces and DHS initiatives, MDS personnel have strived to consistently identify and exploit the possibilities to be found in prudent resource allocation, innovative technology application, and the mobilization of teams which are spirited, highly experienced and dedicated to the work at hand. As a multi-disciplined engineering firm, MDS offers the in-depth technical expertise and diverse knowledge of military objectives, protocols and environments necessary to ensure the effective, economical design and deployment of both tactical elements and enterprise modernizations. Our engineers have been instrumental in the architectural theorizing, prototyping and subsequent hard-design activities for several of the most visionary armed forces IT/Communications efforts undertaken to date. This work has included the integration of high-speed, high-capacity communications networks and supportive software applications to meet the Joint long-term vision for a more responsive, agile and versatile fighting force. Corporate and principal based past performance has involved the assessment and application of such methodologies and technologies as: advanced technology IP networking, SOA based IT infrastructures, .Net Framework and UNIX/Linux based environments, and a host of specialized hardware/software components.
MDS consultants have acted in technical or managerial capacities on projects related to programs such as:
On each of these
missions, MDS engineers have strived to support our clients in the
quest to successfully manage the complexity and costs of their IT
infrastructures. Be it scientific/algorithmic software integration,
enterprise business integration or legacy systems reverse
engineering we have attempted to understand the intricate
relationships between science/research information systems, business
processes, facilities, and the people involved to the degree
necessary to secure the effort's ultimate fulfillment. Our approach
is based on the premise that systems integration methodology can be
most effectively applied when the various elements in a business
enterprise are viewed and defined iteratively, that is, critically
reviewed, prototyped, balanced, and in turn re-applied to the
schema. Only with such adherence to process and detail can truly
systemic environments and applications be realized.
